Senior Manager Digital Content Strategy (Product Presentation) (M/F/D)

As a Senior Manager in the Digital Content Strategy (Product Presentation) Team at adidas you are accountable for consistently raising the bar of adidas' digital content excellence through the development and ongoing evolution of digital content standards, leading complex projects and user research, and ensuring the quality of direct report(s).

You will lead the charge in ensuring adidas has industry leading digital ecomm content by sourcing data, commissioning tests and research, trend analysis, industry benchmarking and bringing fresh knowledge to develop global standards and guidelines, which you will then collaborate with the creative and production team, business units, key markets and other internal stakeholders to implement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Strategy & Standards

  • Lead complex projects that spans across various functions within the digital organization, brand and market teams. Bring stakeholders together, collect insights and the various viewpoints to form a clear objective, prioritize areas of improvements and share best practice.
  • Develop content strategy, briefings and guidelines to ensure premium digital-first content creation for all products (e.g. Product imagery).
  • Collaborate with Digital teams of all functions to embed agreed objectives and priorities into the digital seasonal plans and article classification.
2. User Research

  • Effectively utilizes a variety of research and data to better understand for user needs and to inform creative direction for content creation, validate hypotheses and document insights.
  • Manage and carry out full-cycle UX research (qualitative and quantitative user studies, interviews, and customer journey maps) from formulating requirements to presenting results, using our internal tools
  • Contribute to the optimization of adidas content based on analytics and user research results and insights. Collaborate to reflect consumer insights in the planning deliverables in your scope.
3. Communication & Optimization

  • Communicate requirements and new developments to Digital, BUs, global parties and markets within your scope of responsibility, providing transparency on deliverables and timelines
  • Communicate with internal and external content creators in your area of responsibility to enable them to deliver against the content guidelines.
4. Success Measurement

  • Drive Digital Priority KPIs related to ecomm content - such as Full Price Sales %. Content Engagement and Add to Bag.
  • Monitor digital content development in your area of responsibility ensuring alignment with time and quality requirements of Brand and BU KPIs, and flag deviations.
  • Identify risks to content development in your scope and ensure risks are transparent to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements

1. Education & Professional Experience

  • Degree in business administration or comparable degree
  • 8+ years of professional experience in multi-national business environment (thereof 3+ year experience in a Digital and/or eCommerce environment)
  • Proven track-record in successfully leading and carrying out complex projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to communicate on various seniority levels
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Experience/involvement in working in and understanding of the adidas Brand Marketing organization preferred
2. Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to stakeholders at various organizational levels
  • Motivated to try out new avenues and the ability to keep the team motivated
  • Affinity with the Brand Marketing content delivery needs, solutions and processes
  • Ability to understand consumer behavior across the entire digital landscape is a big plus
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and untangle complex situations into actionable activities
  • High resilience and solution-oriented attitude
3. Hard- Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of technical and creative aspects of digital and mobile, with specialist knowledge in digital content
  • Comfortable working with enterprise-level platforms and technologies
  • Advanced understanding of digital IT products and capabilities
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written
