Controlling and Reporting team supports the business by providing information that will enable the financial decisions, by promoting transparency in the actuals reporting and by increasing the accuracy in the Planning activities, such as forecast and budgeting.
The Controlling & Reporting Manager acts as a financial consultant to the business partner by giving recommendations to enable and drive fact-based decision-making to support the achievement of financial targets as well as the strategy. This is supported by the creation of transparency about cost performance. Controlling & Reporting Manager will focus on the financial controlling (budgeting, forecasting, reporting) of Legal & Compliance area expenses (OPEX & CAPEX).
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with respective Finance counterpart and Sr. Management
- Enable fact-based decision-making by creating transparency on all cost levels through budgeting, forecasting, and the creation of small business cases.
- Manage cost centers and support cost center owners in all financial tasks (e.g., investment and recruitment requests, cost recharges, etc.)
- Identify significant and sustainable improvement potential through variance analysis, derive solutions, and facilitate related decisions.
- Significantly contribute to the achievement of overall Group Functions strategy
- Develop and implement adequate communication packages to present derived results, recommendations, and solutions.
- Create new and improved working methods for entire processes and systems
- Manage & execute standardized reporting and ad-hoc analysis

- Comprehensive business understanding of processes and structure
- Excellent analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources
- High degree of customer orientation
- Ability to maneuver and work in a consistently changing environment and among different management levels of a global organization
- Ability to operate cross-functionally and understand external business drivers
- Understanding of the complexity, interactions, and dynamics within an international company.
- System expertise: Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel), SAP, and BI
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Business fluency in English (written and spoken)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in Business Administration/Finance/Controlling
- Experience in a Shared Service environment
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in Business Analysis or Finance, preferably within the retail, sporting goods industry, or comparable industries
- Excellent analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources
- High degree of customer orientation
- Ability to maneuver and work in a consistently changing environment and among different management levels of a global organization
- Ability to operate cross-functionally and understand external business drivers
