JUNIOR BUYER

MARKET TRAVEL

• Accompanies & assists Buyers on trips to domestic and foreign markets.
• Logistically prepares for market.
• Take notes for Buyer at vendor stops.
• Spend time travelling in other markets.
• Strategizes with Buyer pre-post, observes and debriefs post-stop.

BUSINESS ANALYSIS

• Assist Buyer weekly in market preparation.
• Performs various analysis to be used in developing seasonal strategy.
• Analyzes key reports associated with Buying.
• Identifies and reviews business trends with Buyers and Market Managers during recaps.
• Utilizes available technology and systems resources to analyze business.

ADMINISTRATION/PROBLEM-RESOLUTION

• Writes and tracks purchase orders.
• Act as liaison to resolve shipping problems.
• Follows up weekly on vendor shipping/late lists; screens and prioritizes vendor phone calls.
• Act as a liaison in the resolution of Import buying issues.
• Prepares analysis, samples and information for strategy meetings: provides meeting recaps.
• Coordinates advertising process.
• Coordinates incentive purchase.
• Re-orders program merchandise as needed.

STORE/COMP. STORE VISIT

• When abroad visits stores and competition to study and critique merchandise mix, price points, new labels and timeliness
• Through competitive shopping, identifies key opportunities and merchandising strategies

LANGUAGES

• Portuguese proficient is a requirement
• English proficient knowledge is a must
