The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a newly created role in our Operations team, collaborating with our teams in Portugal and United Kingdom to define and execute the Sales and Operations Planning. You’ll be able to develop your ideas for the seamless and efficient execution of the S&OP and work cross functional with all the departments involved in the process (Finances, Commercial, Marketing, Production, Supply Operations, Partners Services and Customer Care).

The role will lead alignment of planning across all functions to ensure the robust forecast defined at the source spread on efficiently to each department of the chain and manage Long term development and improvement of process and controls, through proactive management, reporting and scenario modelling.

The role will also manage a team of analysts, providing demand forecasts for the partners and internally for the delivery and fraud teams.

What You’ll do:

- Implement the Sales & Operations Planning, drive discipline within the process and make sure each stakeholder complies within the process;

- Customize the S&OP framework to the reality of Farfetch – technology luxury fashion marketplace;

- Manage the continuous improvement of the S&OP process to adapt to the business requirements;

- Document and maintain the process design;

- Document and maintain the interaction of the process with the tools;

- Assist functions in developing and delivering their inputs into the materials used in the process;

- Assist functions in improving their understanding of the process and their role within IT;

- Manage the On boarding program for those who are involved in the process;

- Work with external parties in developing materials and tools to support the process;

- Work with external parties (if necessary) to deliver training / interventions;

- Manage a team of analysts, providing demand forecasts for the activity partners and the activity volumes for the Fraud and Delivery teams and any ad-hoc analysis.

Who You Are:

- Educated to degree level ideally in Engineering or Management;

- Proven experienced in S&OP, ideally in the Fashion retail industry;

- 4 – 8 years experienced in Operations;

- Have strong leadership capabilities to effectively build and inspire high-performing teams with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration;

- Proven experienced in interacting with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, including all depths up to director levels;

- Have very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including innovative and creative thinking; and scenario modelling;

- Have strong organisation and communication skills to include an ability to tailor style to different audiences;

- Fluent in English (mandatory);

- Comfortable in agile environments;
